The DY125U is L&T’s economy-range 125A frame MCCB. This variant comes with spreader terminals included in the box, so terminating aluminium or copper cables up to 50 mm² is straightforward and you do not have to order spreaders separately. Phase barriers are also supplied with every unit. The fixed thermal-magnetic release needs no settings or commissioning: overload protection is thermal and short-circuit protection trips magnetically at 10 times the rated current (1000A for this 100A unit).

With a 10 kA breaking capacity at 415V AC (Ics = 100% of Icu), the DY125U is designed for installations where the prospective fault level does not exceed 10 kA – typically final distribution boards, small commercial feeders and sub-panels downstream of a larger incomer MCCB or ACB. If your fault level is higher, look at the DU range (18-50 kA) or the dsine DN range (25-100 kA) instead – we stock those too.

Practical panel-builder details: no load-line bias, so supply and load can connect to either side; clear ON / TRIP / OFF indication; suitable for isolation; conforms to IS/IEC 60947-2, IEC 60947-2 and EN 60947-2. The whole DY125U family covers 16A to 125A in 2, 3 and 4 pole versions.

Note on branding: L&T Switchgear is now Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation (renamed in May 2024). Depending on stock, the unit may carry either the L&T or Lauritz Knudsen name. The catalog number, specifications and quality are identical.
