Breaking capacity is 25 kA at 415V AC, with Ics = 50% of Icu. The DU range gives you an adjustable thermal (overload) setting from 0.8 to 1.0 times In – this unit covers 250A (200-250A) – with a fixed magnetic short-circuit trip at 9 times the rated current (2250A here). That adjustability lets you trim the overload trip to the actual load and cable size during commissioning.
This catalog number comes with spreader terminals included in the box, so terminating aluminium or copper cables up to 120 mm² is straightforward and you do not have to order spreaders separately. Phase barriers are also supplied with every unit.
Practical panel-builder details: no load-line bias, so supply and load can connect to either side; clear ON / TRIP / OFF indication; suitable for isolation; conforms to IS/IEC 60947-2, IEC 60947-2 and EN 60947-2.

Use it where the prospective short-circuit level at the installation point is 25 kA or less – typically incomers and feeders in commercial and industrial distribution boards. Your panel designer or electrician works this out from the upstream transformer rating. If you need a higher fault level, the DU range goes up to 50 kA (DU400N) and the dsine DN range covers 25-100 kA – we stock both.
